About BizHub28

About

A register, not a
list of adverts.

BizHub28 holds 612,483 South African businesses. What we sell is not exposure — it is the customer’s phone call, and the promise that it goes to one business who actually wants the work.

Why it exists

Every directory hands you a list and wishes you luck.

You need a plumber. You search, you get thirty names, you phone six. Four do not answer. One says he will call back. One quotes double because he is busy. Meanwhile six plumbers who badly wanted that job never knew you were looking.

That is broken at both ends, and it is broken the same way in every town in this country. BizHub28 works in the other direction: you describe the job once, and the business comes to you.

What we actually do

One trade. One zone. One phone.

The register612,483 South African businesses, sorted into twelve industries with no subcategories to click through. Most sit unclaimed. Any owner can claim his own entry and put the seal on it.
The routingA customer describes a job and an area. It goes to the verified member holding that trade in that zone — not to a shortlist, not to a bidding war. He gets fifteen minutes before it moves on.
The accountabilityIgnore your leads and the zone goes under review, then reopens to somebody else. Only customers we actually sent you can review you, and it records whether you phoned back at all.

Who is behind it

Built in Bloemfontein.

BizHub28 is run from Bloemfontein by Brian Ferreira. It is not a franchise of an overseas directory and it is not a lead-farm reselling the same enquiry to five companies at once. It was built here, for South African trades, by somebody who has spent his working life around small businesses and knows exactly how a missed phone call costs a week’s wages.

That is also why the rules are the way they are. A zone is never sold twice. A lead goes to one phone. A member who ignores his customers loses his territory. Those are not features — they are the whole product.

The BizHub28 official business registry seal

The seal

What verified actually means.

The gold seal on a listing is not decoration and it is not bought with an advert. It means a real person claimed that business, paid for it, and stands behind the details on the card. An unclaimed entry has no owner, no photographs and no seal — and a customer can tell the difference at a glance.

We will never put a stock photograph on a business that has not claimed itself. The moment we did that, the seal would stop meaning anything.
